Wearing the colorful designs by Liselore Frowijn feels like wearing art. And that is exactly how great fashion should be like.

The first time I met Liselore was at Schiphol airport, when I just got back from Ghana. My mom was there to pick me up and had a short meeting with Liselore. As soon as I joined the conversation, I figured Liselore already heard about my work. We connected pretty quick.

Nevertheless, months passed without having any contact. Until that one day. It was a regular day at the office. I noticed something on my desk: the newest lookbook by Liselore Frowijn. I immediately was blown away by it.

Just like Liselore, I feel art and fashion go hand in hand and her designs are a perfect example of that great combination. As a designer, Liselore feels the continuous drive to capture and retransmit the energy she gets from art, music, people, and different cultures. Well, where did I hear that before? Haha. We both share many of the same values. Liselore’s designs walk the fine line between high and low culture, each new piece a living painting carefully constructed to achieve the perfect balance between aestheticism and imperfection.
